Karl Neilson - Vernalis, CA

Whether the Diablo Mountain Range is in its stunning spring time green or soft summer gold, Ranch Manager Karl Nielson is always easily spotted due commonly worn tie-dye shirts, long, tied back hair and a beard that would make Willie Nelson, David Allen Coe and Charlie Daniels jealous. Not to mention, Karl's Ranch Assistant, Jack, a Short Haired Ridgeback-mix who is always by Karl's side whether he is working, fishing or moseying around the spacious property.

The mechanical aspects of the Vernalis Ranch are always impeccable due to Karl's meticulous character and passion for construction. Karl and Jack began their career in poultry with Central Coast Farms in the late 1990's.
Amidst the twelve houses at the ranch one can often do a double take as a result of a glimpse of a rare chicken. The ranch is also residence to Central Coast Farms Bleu Leg Chicken who has, well; blue legs (see Our Products in the toolbar to read about the Bleu Leg). Relaxing evenings are accompanied by the freeway's hum which tunes in nicely with a Led Zeppelin tune, permeating the front porch of Karl's house where he rocks in his chair with Jack at his feet.
