In the mid 1920s, a family of duck growers from Florence, Italy, moved out to California to try their luck with the American Dream. With a processing plant acquired in the Morgan Hill area and ranches scattered throughout the bay area, the duck farmers quickly found that chickens were the way of the west. George Petrusich and his wife Evelyn joined in with two other families and purchased an old winery in Sonoma County California and converted it into a processing plant. Four generations later, Central Coast Farms continues to grow and harvest the best bird out there and distribute it to the finest stores and restaurants in the West. Every Central Coast chicken you eat is fed, grown, and cared for by us every day of its life.
